Exercise Programs
1. How long does each program take to do?
Because we lead busy lives, we have constructed the programs to suit. The programs vary in length from about 10 - 20 minutes each and can even be done in 2 halves over the course of the day if needed. Something is better than nothing!
2. How often should I do the exercises?
At first start slow. Do one program every 2-3 days and then gradually increase the frequency. This way your body will get used to exercising muscles it hasn't't really used before without over doing it. Aim towards doing one or two programs each day.
3. Are these exercises safe to do when pregnant?
For the majority of people these exercises are safe and very beneficial to do throughout pregnancy. It is still advisable to consult your health care practitioner before starting any new exercise program. The core strengthening programs are especially valuable to pregnant women as they will help to reduce and prevent back pain due to pelvic instability caused by stretching ligaments.
4. Should I still visit my Chiro? Yes. It is still important that you continue to visit your health care practitioner. However, as your body begins to strengthen and stabilise you may find that you have a longer gap between visits than before.
5. How long will it take before I start noticing any results?
As a general rule, the longer you have been in pain, the longer it will take to heal and stabilise. So the time needed to feel changes will vary person to person. In the first few days and weeks you may feel some muscle aches and pains, especially if you haven't done much exercise before, after that you will begin to see greater improvements in the way you feel and in the way you perform the exercises (you will progress through the challenges). As you continue to exercise you will notice changes in your posture, pain levels and even performance in work and sports.
6. What if the exercises cause me pain?
As mentioned above, it is possible that you may feel some muscle aches and pains in the first few days and weeks after exercising, and this is normal. It is unlikely that the exercises found on this site would cause pain but if pain presents and persists, stop exercising and see your health care practitioner.
7. Can I do the exercises if I am currently in pain?
Firstly, see your health care practitioner to seek advice regarding your individual needs. If the pain or injury were recent it would probably be best to wait until the inflammation settles before doing exercises. The nature of the exercise programs on myExercise.com.au allows you to push your body as far as YOU want to, never exercise through pain as you will be doing more damage.
Membership
1. Can I have a 6month membership instead of 12 months?
No. We offer only the one membership. The current membership fee is only $55 AUD(for a short time only) for the whole 12 months. The regular price is $77 AUD. This fee entitles you not only to all 6 exercise programs, complete with video demonstration, but downloads and free updates as well. Plus, full access to our members only forum where you can ask questions that will be answered by our health professionals.
2. Is the membership fee recurring?
No. We don't think recurring fees are an honest way to do business. We will notify you when your membership is near to lapsing, at which time you can decide to renew for another 12 months at a reduced fee.
3. Do you have a referral rewards program?
No we don't at this stage, however we do offer a 10% discount to any friend you invite to become a member. You will receive an email to forward onto your friends when you yourself becomes a member.
